Toe Jack (a/k/a Darning Egg)

For those of you who like to knit socks on your machines, I recently ran across this great video on how to kitchener the toes. More to the point, at about the 6 minute mark in the video, you will see her use a “Toe Jack.” It’s basically a darning egg, however, it’s much wider than the ones you can buy commercially which is much more useful, and you can use both sides, one side for children’s socks, and the other for adult socks. This product is made by our Milissa Ellison Dewey at Bobbin Boy. I have just ordered one and she tells me they are currently making them from Cherry Wood. I can’t wait to receive it!
