CLUB NEWS

  1. DEMONSTRATION:
    Rebecca Yaker-Bird’s handout can be accessed in the Newsletter sent to all members inbox. During her presentation, she will be working through her “Many Faces of Machine Knitting” pattern. Please download the handout in advance of the meeting so you can easily follow along.
  2. DUES:
    2024 Dues are $20. Please mail checks to Diane McQueen at the address found in your Newsletter by December 31, 2023. Also take this opportunity to update your personal information. If you have any changes (i.e. new address, new phone, discontinued phone, changes in equipment, etc.), please include that information along with your dues check or email it to Diane. The updated membership
    information will be sent prior to the January meeting.
  3. ZOOM LINK:
    A new Zoom link for our 2024 meetings will be sent to all who have paid dues by December 31, 2023.
    Since we are kicking off the New Year with a demonstration by Diana Sullivan at the January meeting, a separate Zoom link will be sent out for that meeting and only active (paid) members will be allowed to attend.
  4. SHOW & TELL:
    Please forward your show and tell pictures to Pam Huang. Deadline for Show and Tell submissions is Friday, November 10 at 6 pm CDT. All show and tell needs to be related to machine knitting.
  5. KNIT TO GIVE:
    Please forward pictures of your charity projects to Aamera Zafer for inclusion in our yearly totals! Alternatively, contact Aamera to arrange for drop-offs.
  6. MINUTES OF THE OCTOBER MEETING:
    Please review the notes from the October meeting found in your Newsletter
  7. INTERKNIT PROGRAMS GROUP:
    A “Members only” Facebook group has been established. Here you will be able to view recordings of demonstrations (if permission has been received from the demonstrator) along with handouts provided by the demonstrator all in one place! Not everyone has joined by responding to the three previous invitations by email. If you decide you would like to join this group, contact Mary Matz directly for a personal invitation.
  8. SUGGESTIONS FOR DEMONSTRATIONS:
    Please forward topics for demonstrations or demonstrators to the Program Committee! The committee is: Cheryl O’Connell, Barb Palmer, Carol Scott, Ronnie Soltysiak, Mary Jordan.
  9. KNIT NEWS: For all you Christmas Pickle lovers, Mary Matz has created a YouTube Channel “Sweetie BumBum” and debuted the Christmas Pickle story: Santa is Too Fat!
